Common Minor Road Problems

Even professional drivers aren’t immune to minor road accidents. Shown below are the most common minor car accidents that you might encounter anytime when driving.

Running over the Mailbox
Running over the mailbox while backing out of the driveway or trying to make a turn into the house is a very common driving mishap.  Though it is minor in nature, avoiding it will surely save you from a lot of trouble.

Flat Tires
Getting a flat tire while you’re driving is very shocking. However, there’s something you can do to prevent this:
  1. Make sure your tires are in good running condition.
  2. Check tire pressure at the gas station at least once a week.
  3. If you find yourself in a blowout situation, here are a few suggestions to get you unharmed.
  • Safely bring your car out of traffic and stop. If you have tire trouble, firmly hold the steering wheel. It‘s important to get out of the way of traffic even if you have to drive on the flat tire to do it.
  • Set up your breakdown site. Turn on your emergency flashers and take out your warning signs and place them behind your car so that others realize that your car is disabled.
  • Get help if you need it. Hang a white cloth out of the window or raise the hood of your car so that police officers will know you need help.
  • After it is done. Take your car to the shop so a mechanic can make sure there are no long-term damages to your car.
Breakdowns
If your car breaks down, safely bring the car to a stop and out of the line of traffic.
